With YouTube, the algorithm is boss. I am continuously learning how to optimise my content, improving titles, postcards, and keywords. There are some things you can do to give me a boost too:
- Subscribe to the channel – join my channel by subscribing and turning on notifications to get alerts as soon as I release a new video.
- Watch the videos – give my videos a view as soon as you can after they are released, or if the YouTube algorithm recommends them to you. Early views and higher click through rates encourages the algorithm to further promote my videos.
- Watch all of the video – average view duration is used by YouTube as an indicator of content quality. If you do view my videos, please watch them to the end and at normal speed to help increase my average view length.
- Like the videos – By liking the video you are indicating to both the algorithm and potential viewers that the video is worth watching. It just takes a click and really helps a lot.
- Comment on the video – Please leave me a positive comment to increase the engagement rates on my videos. Even better, ask me a question relating to the video I can reply to.
- Share my videos – I frequently promote my videos on social media, including BlueSky, Twitter, Threads, and LinkedIn. Please help by reposting and sharing with your networks.
